Africa Mission Update
We recently returned from an incredible trip to Africa and are so grateful for all that God accomplished through this journey!
Ethiopia
Our time in Ethiopia was powerful. We had the opportunity to share with a group of 40
pastors and church leaders, teaching on what God’s Word says about disabilities and
how the Church can embrace and serve children and families affected by them. We also
provided diversity and inclusion awareness training and met individually with several
churches. We’re excited to share that two potential training centers have been
identified for future collaboration and development!
Uganda
Next, we traveled to Buloba, Uganda, where we shared the same message with 350
pastors over a two-day training. We then continued on to Bugiri, Uganda, training
another 200 church leaders. We also had the joy of visiting a church we’ve partnered
with over the past year, bringing supplies, encouragement, and love to the staff and
children there.
South Africa
Our final stop was Johannesburg, South Africa, where we joined the Friends Around
the Table gathering with our partners at SEAPC. This was a beautiful time of worship,
prayer, and networking with leaders from across Africa. We were able to share the
vision of making disability ministry a vital part of every church and build meaningful
relationships for future collaborations.
The opportunities ahead are abundant! We’re currently planning Zoom follow-ups and ongoing training sessions for the churches we met, and we’ve already received several invitations to return. Thank you for your prayers and generous support that made this mission possible. God is opening doors across Africa to ensure that every child and family has a voice and a place in His Church.
